How To Backup Your Gmail Account to Outlook

  1. Login to your Gmail account.
  2. Then you will see setting option near your profile on the right side of the web page.
  3. After clicking on setting click on Forwarding and POP/IMAP.
  4. Now click on the Enable POP for all mail option.
  5. After clicking on save changes now, you are done with it open the Outlook in your windows.
  6. Now press on the Tools menu and open Accounts.
  7. Select the Email tab and press on new.
  8. Type the desired name in the Display name box and then click on next button.
  9. Now in the email box enter your gmail email ID and press Next button.
  10. Type in the Incoming mail (POP3, IMAP or HTTP) server.
  11. Now type in Outgoing (SMTP) server and then click on Next button.
  12. Enter your email and password and then press on next button.
  13. Click on the finish button.
  14. Now go to the under the account and then click on properties.
  15. Then click on Advanced button.
  16. Now check on the “This server requires a secure connection (SSL) box".
  17. In the Outgoing mail (SMTP) field you have to type 465.
  18. In the incoming mail check on the This server requires a secure connection (SSL) box and then change the port to 995.
